    Color Coming Out of My Ears

    I got a Fed Ex Package today.

    Inside the box were beautiful little color poms

    nicely, nestled and ready for Spring 2012.

    Whew! - there is color everywhere!

    For Double D Ranch's Spring 2011 Collection we used old-school colors forged with new inspirations that evoke bleached-out blues, groovy greens, and juicy brights.

    .

    I tried to pull colors with a California lifestyle feeling and merge them with retro 70's faded denim hues.

    .

    And since denim in all shades and washes is de rigueur, I did a secondary denim friendly palette that makes a nice transition from spring into summer.  Check out this page from my look book showing our indigo color story.

    Love the new line for spring! Can not wait for our Trunk Show at Nellies in Brenham, TX next Friday and saturday 25 and 26 . Going to have a blast come see us!

    Glad you noticed “Boogey Blue” and not Boggie as spelt on the sample…that would be wrong, haha, being a girl from the boogey era, haha…..

    Helen, I am feeling really, really stupid. Not only did I misspell it once – I did it TWICE! …and it is on all of the catalogs and everything we printed! Ugh! Next time, I’m sending it to you to spell check!
    You know, I think it is that “right brain – left brain” thing…and I’m missing which ever brain that spells.

    LOVE the colors…especially the denim! One of these days we need to meet up and talk about my jewelry, would love to design a line especially for DD. Been in this business for so long, that I am thinking about finally taking some time away. But, how does one slow down after creating and designing for over 30 years? LOL
